Visit a School

Connecting Seattle area international students with the community is a central part of the FIUTS mission. Our classroom visit programs are a unique way to share your culture while learning about local schools.

The FIUTS Global Ambassador Day program brings international students into K-6 classrooms or after-school/summer youth programs for a portion of the day. Each classroom hosts a different FIUTS volunteer, who leads an interactive lesson about their home country and culture.

To participate in an upcoming Global Ambassador Day, please fill out this online sign up form and plan to attend a lesson planning workshop (dates and times on the FIUTS calendar). FIUTS Global Ambassador Day programs are co-sponsored by the University of Washington Center for Global Studies.

Community Visits

FIUTS community visits are full-day excursions to smaller communities throughout Washington State. Represent your country and culture while learning about the diverse experiences of people living in our beautiful state.

Activities include roundtable discussions with high school students, historical tours of the host communities, community potlucks, and much more!

For information about upcoming community visits, email Jason at jason@fiuts.org.
