What's your FIUTS story? During my freshman year, I attended the Embark session and was impressed by the welcoming and supportive environment at FIUTS. I wanted to be as inclusive as FIUTS, so shortly after the session, I signed up to be a facilitator with the goal of helping more international students succeed on campus. To be honest, my involvement was pretty low because I was too busy with school life. When covid hit, everything changed. As I was looking for something social contact online, I suddenly remembered FIUTS, and it wasn't until then that I realized that FIUTS is an organization that doesn't just focus on international students, it also promotes international understanding for all. In the age of public diplomacy, as an ambassador for my own country, I am more than happy to share my culture and value and help others do the same. To achieve this goal, I joined the Expo and Performance Committee for the 2020-2021 CulturalFest and became more involved in all FIUTS events as a facilitator. My experience on the committees made me see the various opportunities for growth in this community. It has given students a lot of autonomy to shape their characteristics and skills by taking on different positions and has provided a lot of help in the process. In addition, the friendly people and dynamic environment made me want to take it a step further and apply for a position on the student board. Now, I am the secretary of the Student Board and co-chair of the Student Board Outreach Committee, while also maintaining my old position as a facilitator and member of the CulturalFest Expo and Performance Committees.

How will you change the world? I will always respect the unknown, allow myself to learn, and inspire people around me to do the same thing with me.
