FIUTS "Volunteer Engagement Experiences" Virtual Alumni Conversation Series

This week, the FIUTS Alumni Conversation Series will feature three former SUSI participants discussing Volunteer Engagement Experiences. The panelists will share insights from their dual roles as both participants and organizers of volunteer initiatives.

Isheunesu Madembo, a Zimbabwean alumnus, is an SRC Vice President at Midlands State University. Being a Human Rights Activist, he joined the Students for Liberty as a local coordinator to help facilitate open and civil discourse over how to best promote freedom in all aspects of people’s lives.

Faith Thipe, a Botswanan alumna, is a passionate youth activist with an unwavering dedication centers around sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), HIV, and combatting gender-based violence (GBV). She fervently advocates for the meaningful participation of adolescents and young people in critical decision-making processes. Her active involvement in initiatives addressing these pressing issues ensures that the voices of young individuals are heard and valued.

Emmanuel Ezekiel, a Nigerian alumnus, is the co-founder of Start the Future Initiative, a youth-led Nonprofit. Out of a great passion for community impact, he has volunteered for several organizations, led various projects as an individual and in groups, and worked with the values of teamwork, diligence, empathy, honesty, and communication. He is passionate about helping people develop themselves personally.
