FIUTS "Enhancing Educational Opportunities Through Diversity and Cultural Inclusion" Virtual Alumni Conversation Series

The first panel in the FIUTS Alumni Conversation Series featured two past SUSI program participants, providing insight into how the SUSI experience has shaped the participants and the work they are doing in their own countries.

Angela Maduro, a Zimbabwean participant, designed and implemented her project on gender equality that focuses on the boy child affected by toxic masculine norms. She will be talking about her experience in promoting skills development in civic leadership through diversity equity and inclusion.

Milena Pugina, a Russian participant, is running an educational project on preserving the tradition of Liberal Arts education that is being eradicated by the Russian government (for being “liberal”). Her topic will be about using education as resistance to empower students in oppressive environments.
